What this site is

CA Notary Prep is an independent study resource for the California notary public commission, operated by Urban Algorithm LLC. The practice exam, the calculators, and the guides are study aids. They are not legal advice, not official guidance, and not a substitute for the official California Notary Public Handbook or the required education course.

We are not the Secretary of State or an approved vendor

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the California Secretary of State, the exam administrator CPS HR Consulting, the National Notary Association, or any notary education vendor. We are not an approved notary education provider and we do not sell or substitute for the required six-hour course. All official determinations, including your eligibility, your exam result, and your commission, are made by the state and its exam vendor, not by us.

No guarantee of results

We work to keep the practice questions and the figures accurate and current, and every load-bearing number carries the date it was last checked against its official source. Even so, we cannot promise the content is complete, error-free, or up to date at the moment you read it, and using this site does not guarantee that you will pass the exam or receive a commission. Verify anything that matters against the official Secretary of State sources.

Your use of the site

Use the site for your own lawful, personal study. Do not copy or republish the original questions, data, or written content wholesale, disrupt the site, or misrepresent it as an official government resource. Your practice progress is stored only in your own browser; there is no account to manage or terminate.
